The basics about facial excema

There is probably no skin condition that affects almost everyone that is as bad as excema.  This is a skin condition that can affect any part of the body and is characterized by patches of dry, flaking and reddening of the skin.  The affected areas become dry, inflamed, swollen or crack as a result of scratching.  Other symptoms also include severe itching that will eventually make scratching inevitable. Scratching forces the skin to crack and the lesions can be the
gateway to other infections.  The most common forms of this disease are the facial excema and the scalp excema.
Excema is not contagious but it is a disease that can live in the hostsâ?? system for up to a lifetime.  Other forms of this infection are acute and may show periodically or when the patient is exposed to certain foods, conditions or generally anything they are allergic to.  People suffering with excema will have dry skins that can barely retain moisture.
